Do you accept debit/credit cards?
Yes we now accept card payments for the skatepark (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro & American Express).
When can I have a skate party?
The skate park is available for private hire on Saturdays from 2:30pm onwards and Sundays 5:30 – 7:30pm. Some weekday afternoons are available before our public sessions.
You may need to book a party several months in advance as we are extremely busy. You can check availability, book and pay for Saturday & Sunday parties from our skate party & private hire page.
Where can we put party food and cake?
We do not allow food or drink in the skate park, however you can either use the skate lounge (included in the price) or hire our community room which is a lot bigger and has basic kitchen facilities.
Can we park at the pioneer club?
Yes, there is plenty of free parking at the skate park.
What are the maximum numbers of children allowed?
Parties are limited to 30. Responsibility for the those using the skate park is down to the hirer so you must ensure you have sufficient supervision.
Will the Pioneer Club provide staff for Disco Parties?
The hirer is responsible for all those people using the music hall and must remain on site for the duration of the hire; a member of staff will stay on site (not necessarily within the music hall itself though) in case they are needed for any reason. We will also setup with music and lights in before the disco. Our DJ will also be available but his role is to provide the music only.
Do you hire skateboard/scooter equipments?
Yes have helmets & pads for hire. ALL under 16’s MUST wear a helmet. We also have a limited number of skateboards but unfortunately no scooters.

What are the rules about wearing helmets and can we borrow some?
Everyone needs to wear a helmet. We are able to hire helmets (at cost) if required. Normal skate park rules apply and a copy of these will be issued with the booking form.
How do I make a booking?
Bookings for Saturday & Sunday skate parties can be be placed online via our skatepark & private hire page. For all other bookings, please Contact Us.
When can I have a disco party?
Disco parties are held on a Saturday afternoon from 12pm
How many adults will be needed for safety reasons?
We suggest a 1:10 ratio of adult supervision as the minimum requirement. There are two First Aid Kits in our skate office and would ask you to inform staff immediately if an accident has occurred.
First time user of the skatepark?
If you haven’t used the park before you will just need to pre-book using our online booking system, which now also includes your skatepark disclaimer.
If you are under 18 this will need to be completed and signed by a parent or guardian.
Does The Pioneer Club provide skateboard coaching?
The cost of our skate parties doesn’t include any skateboard coaching or lessons.
However, we work with a number of local skateboard coaches, so this can be added for an additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

How much time do we have before and after to set up?
Your hire starts at the time that you have booked i.e. 2:30 pm and you must leave the premises within the period of your hire. When booking please ensure you have enough time for the purpose of your booking as the times must be strictly adhered to.
Where can we put party food and cake?
You can use our bar area to service food and drink.
